HO Scale Athearn RTR (Ready to Roll) item #s RND97256 , RND77704 and RND97257. Best of both worlds, DC or DCC and here is how it works.

Remove the shell and locate the 9pin dummy plug. Pull on the tabs or use a small screw driver and replace the dummy plug with a 9pin DCC decoder that will be provided to you in the package and you can see a picture of it in the last picture on top of the box. You will than have a fully functioning DCC locomotive and you can switch back to DC again by installing the dummy plug back on. Very simple and the entire process takes just a few short minutes to do. Road #'s 4004 , 4003 and 4002 (if you prefer to have a certain road number, either message me or include it in the notes at check IF AVAILABLE).

Comes with factory installed knuckled couplers. Lots of fantastic detail's as always with Athearn such as realistic roof exhaust fans, air hoses and MU cables, grab handles, sun visors, front and rear facing loud speakers and much more. Brand new in box and only removed from box to take pictures, and test it out to make sure all is in great working order. Runs like new because it is new.

Lubed and ready to be put on your layout. Pictures are taken on my personal home layout to show that im not a dealer (just another train fanatic like yourself) and I assure you that your getting a good product because I TEST THEM for you. Box is included and will be packaged well.
