HORNBY HARRY POTTER HOGWARTS EXPRESS HALL CLASS LOCO from TRAIN SET R1234 DCC R. Locomotive: New, DCC Ready, latest version, Hornby,'Hogwarts Express' Hall Class loco from the R1234 train set.

This fine loco is numbered 5972 and accurately portrays the loco from the the Harry Potter films. Since this loco has been taken from a set it will not be boxed, but it will come in the clear plastic holder, which provides excellent protection for the valve gear and any other delicate parts. Even though this loco is new I will nevertheless test her before posting. This loco is DCC and DCC Sound Ready. This means that as it is it will run on an analogue layout and will just require an 8-pin digital decoder (not included), plugged into the easy access socket in the tender for digital use.

If you want to go one step further and convert this loco to digital sound then your sound card and speaker (neither included), also simply fit into the tender, in the same 8-pin socket that a non-sound digital decoder would fit. This is a beautifully crafted, very nicely detailed loco with a bright LED front light, smoke box Hogwarts crest, partial cab glazing, plenty of brasswork, separately applied boiler handrails, vacuum pipes front and rear and an NEM coupling at the rear of the tender and an NEM box at the front of the loco, as pictured. The tender is permanently coupled to the loco chassis via a metal drawbar and the electrics are wired directly between the tender and the loco chassis to ensure that you always get a stable connection between the two.
