Hornby R3097 EVENING STAR 40th Anniversary Edition No. 0595 DCC Ready, BNIB

THIS IS A BRAND NEW, BOXED & VERY RARE & UN-USED. HORNBY R3097 CLASS 9F EVENING STAR - "40th Anniversary" Ltd Edition.

This is a Limited Edition run of 1000 pieces produced exclusively by Hornby Model Railways. In celebration of this most famous & iconic Class 9F Steam Locomotive which was the last ever Steam Locomotive to be built by British Rail at it's Swindon Works in 1965. This particular model is No. 595 of 1000 pieces, hence it is very rare & very collectible. Not only is this model suppied with this numbered certificate of authenicity confiming that the is one of a limted production run of 1000 piece, but also cast resein minature replica of the commemorative name plate denoting that "Evening Star" was the last steam locomotive to be built at the British Railway. A locomotive/ model from my very own personal collection which has never been removed from its box.

(R3097 in OO scale/ Pristine Factory Finish/ No Sound). An exceptionally stunning model that would be a real asset to any layout, or avid Class 9F/ Evening Star or Hornby collector. DCC ready with a 8-pin socket.

Original box is in very good condition, albeit it does have some light associated shelf & storage ware. Model comes complete with all associated factory documents & instructions.
